Donna over at TEKsystems emailed me this week about a contracting position that has opened up at Kennedy Space Center. Below are the details of that opening:

Teksystems is seeking a Lead Coldfusion developer for a contract position at Kennedy Space Center, FL.

This consultant will join the KLXS contract to migrate an Access database into a web-based application. Candidate will develop the project plan and the over all architecture of the application. Candidate will develop the new web-based application in ColdFusion, SQL Server, ASP.NET and Flex. Candidate may also hook in some additional stand-alone databases. Candidate will also lead other developers in the overall effort.

This position will sit at Kennedy Space Center. All candidates must be US Citizens and have the ability to obtain the PRP and NACI clearances. This candidate will help to identify the exact duration of the project.

We were contacted by Erin Isaacs at TekSystems regarding a position they’re trying to fill for a C# developer in the Melbourne area.  Here is the summary of the job description that we recieved:

TEKsystems is seeking an experienced C# ASP.NET developer for a 1 year contract in Melbourne, FL.  The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience with website development.  The project will involve supporting and upgrading an existing website to display content received from multiple systems.

Responsibilities will include:

• Collecting and documenting requirements from multiple in-house departments

• Conducting and documenting design reviews and user interface reviews

• Testing and documenting new features in addition to full regression testing

• Installation of changes on production website

• Administering production website pre and post deployment

Technical Requirements include experience with C# and ASP.NET, SQL 2005, Visual Studio 2005/2008, Visual Source Safe and HTTPS. A Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent is required.
